Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy is a procedure that lets doctors look at your lungs and air passages. During bronchoscopy, a thin tube (bronchoscope) is passed through your nose or mouth, down your throat and into your lungs. Common reasons for needing bronchoscopy are a persistent cough, infection or something unusual seen on a chest X-ray or other test. Complications from bronchoscopy are uncommon and usually minor, although they are rarely severe. Complications may be more likely if airways are inflamed or damaged by disease.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Diagnosis, treatment and prevention of TB have become more complex because of resistance to commonly used anti-tuberculous drugs. Newer drugs are only available at government setups. Treatment of Benign Breast Conditions
Benign breast diseases refer to a group of non-cancerous conditions that affect the breast tissue. These conditions can cause lumps, pain, and other symptoms, and may require medical evaluation and treatment. Some common benign breast diseases include:
Fibroadenomas: These are the most common benign breast tumors. They are solid, firm, and smooth and may be felt as a lump in the breast.
Cysts: These are fluid-filled sacs that can develop in the breast tissue. They may feel like a lump and can cause pain or tenderness.
Mastitis: This is an infection in the breast tissue that can cause swelling, redness, and pain. It most often affects women who are breastfeeding.
Ductal ectasia: This is a condition where the milk ducts in the breast become widened and inflamed. It can cause nipple discharge, pain, and a lump in the breast.
Fat necrosis: This is a condition where the breast tissue becomes damaged, often as a result of injury or surgery. It can cause a lump in the breast that may be mistaken for cancer.
Most benign breast diseases are not cancerous and do not increase the risk of developing breast cancer. However, any changes or symptoms in the breast should be evaluated by a healthcare provider to rule out the possibility of cancer or other serious conditions.

Treatment for Breast Cancer
The treatment of breast cancer depends on several factors, including the type and stage of cancer, the patient’s overall health, and other individual factors. The main treatment options for breast cancer include:
Surgery: Surgery is often the first-line treatment for breast cancer. The goal of surgery is to remove the cancerous tumor and any surrounding tissue that may contain cancer cells. Types of surgery for breast cancer include lumpectomy, mastectomy, and lymph node biopsy.
Radiation therapy: Radiation therapy uses high-energy radiation to kill cancer cells. It is often used after surgery to destroy any remaining cancer cells and reduce the risk of cancer recurrence.
Chemotherapy: Chemotherapy uses drugs to kill cancer cells throughout the body. It is typically used in cases where the cancer has spread beyond the breast and nearby lymph nodes.
Hormone therapy: Hormone therapy is used to block the effects of hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, which can fuel the growth of certain types of breast cancer. It may be used in combination with other treatments, such as surgery and chemotherapy.
Targeted therapy: Targeted therapy uses drugs that specifically target cancer cells, such as HER2-positive breast cancer cells. It may be used in combination with other treatments.
Treatment plans for breast cancer are often individualized and may involve a combination of different therapies. It’s important for patients to work closely with their healthcare team to determine the best treatment plan for their individual needs.
