Moderate-to-Severe range
You reported that symptoms are moderately to severely disrupting your sleep, work or daily activities. This means the inflammation is actively affecting your quality of life. Standard over-the-counter pills may not be enough, and a personalised diagnostic plan is highly recommended.
Critical instructions before your visit
- Stop antihistamines 5 to 7 days prior. If you plan to undergo a Skin Prick Allergy Test at the clinic, you must completely stop all oral allergy tablets and prescription nasal sprays for at least 5 to 7 days before your appointment. These medicines block histamine and will suppress your skin reactions, leading to false-negative results.
- Flag heart and BP medications. Please tell Dr. Lote immediately if you take blood pressure medicines, especially beta-blockers. These can interfere with emergency allergy treatments and need to be reviewed safely.
- Safe alternatives exist. If you cannot stop your allergy medications because of severe flare-ups, do not worry. A laboratory-based Serum Specific IgE Blood Test can be performed instead.
